Bids, Request for Quote (RFQ), and Request for Proposal (RFP) for the City of Box Elder.
The City of Box Elder Administrative and Engineering Departments handle bid openings, project contracts/agreements coordination, and other project-related documentation. Project plans are available upon request by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at 605-923-1404605-923-1404, extension 213.
Please pay special attention to the bid opening date contained in the notice(s). If you hand-deliver bids to the Finance Office, please ensure that you hand them to a staff member prior to the deadline time. No bids will be received after that deadline. The City of Box Elder usually has bid openings on Thursdays at 2 p.m., but the day and times may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
The City Clerk will pick up all bids and take them directly to the bid opening location. The bids are opened in front of those in attendance and are read aloud.
After the bid openings, the results are tabulated and are then sent to the committee where a recommendation is made. That recommendation is sent on to City Council two weeks later. After the project is awarded by the City Council, a Notice of Award and contract are sent to the winning bidder.
