The City of Box Elder City Clerk's Office and Engineering Department handle bid openings, project contracts and agreements coordination, and other project-related documentation. Project plans are available upon request by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at 605-923-1404, extension 213 or emailing cityclerk@boxelder.us.
It is the responsibility of those submitting bids to ensure they are received by prior to the bid closing date and time. Bid closing dates and times are listed within the Bid Notice. No bids will be accepted after the bid closing date and time.
The City Clerk's Office is responsible for facilitating the bid opening process. All submitted bids are publicly opened and read aloud, immediately following the bid closing date and time, in the specified location listed in the bid notice.
Bid results are tabulated and then presented to the appropriate committee for their review. The committee will then make a recommendation to the City Council for their consideration of approval.
Once a bid is awarded, the City Clerk's Office will follow up with the awarded bid holder to complete the remaining documents and steps.
RFPs and RFQs follow a similar process to project bids. Instructions for submitting proposals and quotes can be found within the RFP or RFQ documentation.
