Downtown Box Elder
Liberty Plaza in Box Elder is a key public-private partnership involving the City of Box Elder, Pennington County, the South Dakota Ellsworth Development Authority, the State of South Dakota, and Dream Design. This new downtown development aims to improve the quality of life for military personnel, their families, and residents of the Black Hills. As a community hub, Liberty Plaza will offer a variety of amenities and services to meet the needs of its residents. Located off Liberty Boulevard and visible from I-90, it will help revitalize the I-90 corridor and stimulate economic growth by attracting new businesses and entrepreneurs. The development will include a mix of housing, retail, and office spaces designed to support the growing population around Ellsworth Air Force Base, especially with the anticipated arrival of the B-21 Raider. By providing accessible options and encouraging community engagement, Liberty Plaza is poised to become an important landmark that contributes to the region's overall growth and creates a vibrant environment for everyone.
