Business Licensing
All businesses and companies, including contractors and sub contractors operating in the City of Box Elder must have a business license.
Cannabis establishment employees can also use this portal to submit their employment information.
To apply for or renew a business or contractor license or to provide or update cannabis establishment employee information, please visit the following link: Business Licensing Portal and select the appropriate license type.
Alcohol Licensing
To apply for an alcohol license, download and complete the Uniform Alcoholic Beverage License Application.

Please note that all applications must be approved by the City Council and the South Dakota Department of Revenue prior to issuance. This process can take up to two months, so please plan accordingly.

There is also an annual fee of $50 per Video Lottery machine.
